Carpet Cleaning Pet Stains

The stained area is blotted repeatedly with an absorbent cloth for a quick dry procedure until the stain or odor is gone. The cloth should not be rubbed to avoid the stain from spreading or penetrating deep into the fabric.
Hydrogen Peroxide Solution and Baking Soda
Hydrogen peroxide solution may also be used to saturate the stain. Dab hydrogen peroxide solution on the stained area and let it stay for a few minutes. The same blotting procedure is done using a white absorbent cloth until the stain or the odor is removed. Baking soda, on the other hand, is another option for carpet cleaning pet stains but it is not suitable for deep, penetrated cleaning. It follows a simple process of moistening the stained area with water and then baking soda is spread all over it. Allow the baking soda to sit for a number of hours especially if the odor is hard to eliminate. To remove presence of soil, rub it on the area and let it dry. Once dried up, brush the soil particles off the surface or use a vacuum to clean up the dried portion. Most household owners use the baking soda as the final step after cleaning the carpet pet stains using detergent. This is an even better thing to do especially if the stain is really hard to remove.
Some Tips You Can Use
It is important not to wet the carpet too much when following any of these household solutions in cleaning pet stains. Too much wetting of the carpet may ruin the carpet backing so it is advisable to just spray cold water on the area. Make sure to be vigilant as well in watching after your pet dogs or cats. The longer a stain stays on the carpet, the more difficult it is to eliminate it.
