Commercial Carpet Cleaning Equipment

Are you disgusted by how the carpet in your home or business looks? Wish you could do something to make to look better and less run down? If so, you should probably start looking into commercial carpet cleaning equipment. It's something that can make your home or business look a million times better and will afford you the opportunity to take charge of the space once again, especially if you've started to "let it go."

But how can you get your hands on commercial carpet cleaning equipment? And what on earth do you do once you do? Let's dig a little deeper into the subject, shall we?

Types of Commercial Carpet Cleaning Equipment

There are several kinds of commercial carpet cleaning equipment available. For instance, there are several machines that are intended for small projects like the standard vacuum and the spot cleaner. Spot cleaners are useful for getting out touch stains in small areas. So, if there's a red wine stain on the carpet, you just place the spot cleaner over it, turn it on and it'll brush and rub out the stain in a matter of minutes.

However, most commercial carpet cleaning equipment is designed to work on larger projects and spaces. If the entire carpet is dingy and in need of a good cleaning, a wet vacuum might be your best bet. This machine works by using shampoo and steam to work out the dirt that's become embedded deep down in the carpet fibers and that's currently giving the carpet a lackluster appearance. Once you run the shampooer, you can run the vacuum again to suction out the water. However, the carpet will remain damp for at least a day, so it's important no one walk on it until it's dry. You can speed up this process by opening up all the windows in the room.

This type of equipment can also be used to remove water from carpet if flooding occurred. It's the same principle and the machine is simply run on suction rather than steam to remove the excess liquid. Chemicals can be used to clean carpets as well. This is helpful in the case of super tough stains. Likewise, a regular vacuum is often used after a thorough cleaning to remove any dirt that remains or that may have been tracked in during the cleaning process.

Buying Commercial Carpet Cleaning Equipment

Once you decide on cleaning the carpet, you'll probably want to rush out and buy the supplies right away. However, this may not be necessary. In fact, you may benefit from just renting commercial carpet cleaning equipment. It's much cheaper than buying it and you'll get the same results. Plus, you usually get the shampoo and other cleaning supplies along with the rental, so there's no confusion. You only really need to buy the equipment if you're a professional carpet cleaner. Otherwise, it's just not a sound investment, unless you have room to store the equipment and a desire to clean the carpet more than once a month.
